So far so good
While I realized the weekend is not yet over - but so far things seem to be going well.
Yesterday my office moved from the Foothills Industrial to our new location downtown. I worked late during the week to prepare for the move and was rewarded (well - maybe rewarded isn't quite the right word... My boss didn't want to pay me for doing nothing while the movers relocated all of my belongings) with an afternoon off.
I picked up my kitty from the vet - she spent the day at the vet for her follow-up exam. She is doing well. Confined to a closet (which is better than the cat carrying box) - so she is fairly angry with us - but her leg is healing.
My first copy of my Instyle subscription (Yay! Barb) came in the mail yesterday - so I sat down and read it. Then I planned a trip to Winners and spent at least an hour deciding between the purses that I fancied. I am delighted with my selection and am eager to show it off.
Sadly - they had no shoes that sparked my interest. Will have to plan a trip to Browns and Gravity Pope.
Was very happy to read that dark jeans are now considered "work appropriate" so long as they are worn like trousers with appropriate footwear and jacket. Will start the search for "work appropriate" jeans shortly.
Tonight we are going to try a new restaurant that I have been nagging Jason to take me to. Yay! I may change my mind and insist that we have Swiss Chalet. I love that sauce.
And tomorrow I will run 14 km with my 10Km clinic group. I am pretty excited for that. It is our last Long Distance Run together. I start my new clinic on Wednesday. (btw - the girl that I hate has moved up to the 1/2 marathon clinic - so I decided to have another go at the 10 km to build up my strength and speed).
I decided yesterday that I will join Craig in training for a Triathlon next summer. I think I have the running down. I can work on my speedwork and strength for the running portion - that should be the easy part. The tough part? I have a year to learn how to swim and remember how to ride a bike. But hey - don't they say "it's like riding a bike... once you learn you will never forget"? I actually think that's a lie. Meh. The good news is - because my stupid work decided to relocate downtown I have opted for the cheapest fastest way to get myself there - I will ride my bike. It's all downhill there. So the real work will be getting myself home everynight.
And then a trip to Costco in the afternoon where I can oogle my Tag. Yay!

You and Craig are these lean, mean, athletic machines. I'll be happy if you're still willing to be seen in public with me.

I'm very glad you have decided to join me. We will have to go for tuna melts and discuss.
