Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is almost upon us .
Jason and I have rented a car for our long drive out to Maryfield. It is safer this way. Remember the last time we drove out there and were left stranded in Moosejaw? Yes - it is for the best that we are renting a vehicle - I don't want to be stranded anywhere between here and Ontario.
So - Maryfield.
I can't say that I'm looking forward to this weekend. Too many family politics for that. I would rather stay home and watch TV all weekend. Actually - if I could stay home I would be willing to train ALL weekend for a triathlon. Alas... that is not my fate.
My mother told me that one of the conditions to being married is that you must suck it up and spend time with your spouse's family. And whatever you do... *NEVER* say anything bad about his/her mother.
Damnit.
That is not an easy thing to do.

If you think Mrs.Penner will take 'I want sushi so I won't be there' as a valid excuse.
